Now we are going to try to learn about monologue. As you know that there are many monologues such as advertisement, report, announcement, etc ('can you list the rest?'). Here, you can try to answer some questions about the content of each monologue.
Now look at 1st text (Chief Information Officer). Read the text and answer these questions:
- Where is the title of the position usually indicated in a job advertisement?
- Where in the advertisement would you expect to find details about how to apply for the job?
- Where would you expect to find general information about the company or organization that is advertising the post?
- Who placed the advertisement (A secretary school/The Dubai chief information officer/A computer company/A hospital)
- What must an applicant submit? (An employment history/An application fee/ Personal references/Medical records)
- How should an application be submitted? (In person/By fax/By mail/By e-mail)
